'Feet on the ground ear to the ground' -

 

This collection of works uses notions of sculptural hacking; a hacking of the objects' reality and status by modifying it at the structural level, as a way of receiving sound and information. ​Its creating symbiosis between poetry, hacking, and sound by altering the syntax of the reality of objects in the same way. the potential of immersion and non-linearity; In chaotic, complex systems, there are underlying patterns and constant feedback loops of self-organization, flowing out of a network of processes, systematically working together.

Exploring ‘deep listening’; the magnification of sonic micro events, discovering the potentials of instrumentation and awareness of our sonic, acoustic environments; activating voices from each space. Exploring notions of the hacking of objects and systems of the ‘un-sound’ and of their language, reflecting on its relationship with the liquid non-linearity of its spatial and ecological language. The ritualistic processes and somatic immersion involved in a deep concentration and tunnel-listening speaks of sound’s powerful potentialities for binding groups together, and the bonds and action that can come from it.
